ABOUT ME
Documentary work is won in the structure. Before I touch a timeline I work out what the viewer learns and in what order, then cut to that spine — archive stills, maps, text and sound design doing the work between the interviews. If you have forty hours of material and no idea where the film is, that’s the part I like most.
